About Prasad

A Leader Who Listens. A Visionary Who Delivers.

Hi, I'm Prasad Anguluri—a proud Bothell resident for over 19 years, a tech entrepreneur for 27+ years, and someone who's deeply committed to building thriving communities.

Bothell has been more than home—it's been the heart of my journey. It's where my kids went to school, where my neighbors became family, and where I've spent nearly two decades listening, learning, and giving back. Through nonprofit service, mentoring youth, and launching community-first platforms like Haply, I've been fortunate to impact over a thousand lives—and I know we can do even more.

Now, I'm running for Bothell City Council to turn that passion into policy. My campaign is built on a clear mission: creating S.P.A.C.E. for every resident—through Safety, Purposeful planning, Affordable housing, Connected communities, and Equity. I believe we can blend technology with empathy, data with heart, and growth with sustainability to make Bothell even stronger.

This isn't just politics for me—it's personal. Let's build a smarter, greener, more inclusive Bothell, together.

My Personal and Family Life

Grounded in Values, Driven by Purpose

Bothell has been home to my family for over 19 years. It's where my children grew up, where we built lifelong friendships, and where I discovered how deeply a community can shape a person's purpose.

Raising a family here taught me that true leadership begins at home—with listening, learning, and lifting others up. From navigating local schools to volunteering in community programs, every step of our family journey has fueled my vision: to help Bothell grow thoughtfully, inclusively, and sustainably.

Guided by these principles, I've led complex teams in the tech world, mentored young entrepreneurs, and worked alongside nonprofits to uplift families across the country. But the most meaningful leadership has always started around my own dinner table—teaching my kids about service, about standing up for others, and about using your voice to create change.

That's why I'm running for Bothell City Council. Because the city that helped raise my family deserves leaders who are rooted here—leaders who understand the heart of the community and are ready to serve it with clarity, compassion, and vision. My journey has been one of building—businesses, bridges, and belonging. The future I want for my family is the future I'll work to build for yours.

Prasad's Journey

20+ years of dedication to our community

Early Career and Foundation Building
I began my professional journey across finance, technology, and real estate, gaining foundational experience that shaped my career. During these formative years, I developed a diverse skill set, spanning corporate finance, real estate, and investment portfolios. This period was crucial in teaching me the importance of versatility and the ability to navigate different industries, laying the groundwork for future endeavors.
Entrepreneurship and Community Engagement
My journey in entrepreneurship has always been intertwined with community involvement. As my professional path evolved, I became more engaged with Indian-American professional organizations, laying the groundwork for future leadership roles. One of the community initiatives I'm proud to support is OneBothell, a grassroots group that played a pivotal role in preserving the Wayne Golf Course from development. Their efforts transformed the area into public green space, adding hiking trails and protecting natural habitats for future generations. This experience reinforced my belief that thoughtful development and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand, guiding how I approach both business and civic projects today.
Leadership Roles and Industry Recognition
I've had the privilege of serving in leadership roles across diverse organizations, where I focused on mentorship, innovation, and community advancement. As President of ITServe Seattle and Regional Director for NRIVA, I worked to strengthen civic engagement and support local initiatives. I'm also a TiE Charter Member and mentor for TiE Young Entrepreneurs, helping guide the next generation of innovators. My professional journey includes successful ventures in real estate and fintech, as well as co-founding a clean-tech company dedicated to sustainable urban development and smart city solutions.
The Birth of Haply and Civic Impact
I joined the board for the Community Uplift Foundation, where I contributed to driving outreach programs and strengthening local communities. Around the same time, I launched Haply, Inc., an AI-powered platform designed to transform Homeowners Associations (HOAs). Haply helps reduce workload by 40% while empowering local businesses and promoting a community-driven sharing economy, creating smarter and more sustainable neighborhoods.
A Vision for Bothell's Future
My vision for Bothell is simple. I want to make it easier for people to live, work, and build a good life here. Using the S.P.A.C.E. framework, focusing on sustainability, planning, accessibility, community, and education,I'll work to support the things that matter most to families and small businesses. If elected, my goal is to help create a city where growth means real opportunity - for every neighbourhood, every resident, and the next generation.
